RFLASH-2.0
KPIT Cummins Infosystems Ltd. is pleased to announce the release of
'RFLASH-2.0', the flashing tool on GNU/Linux for Hitachi FZTAT devices. It is a
console based application on GNU/Linux platform that facilitates the user to
FLASH (program) Renesas FLASH (FZTAT) devices from a PC.

Additions in this version:
1. Support for Protocol C in Boot program mode is added.
2. Support for Protocol B is added. Both, boot program mode and user program
mode are supported. At present this is tested with SH7055 EVB.
3. HMSE Kernel Communications Protocol (Protocol "A") using serial
communications directly to the target board, or via HMSE Universal Programming
Board (UPB).
4. EVB Database has been updated for few CPUs.
Limitations:
The RFLASH-2.0 works on gcc version 2.91.66. This will not work with gcc
version 3.2. We shall be incorporating this in our next release. In protocol C
the average download time for "*.mot" file is about 4 minutes.
How to Install:
1. Open rflash.rpm from rpm manager
2. Alternatively use following command to install rflash application rpm -ivh
rflash.rpm Installation will copy the files in the appropriate directories.
How to Un-Install:
1. Use rpm manager to un-install the package.
2. Alternatively you can use following command to un-install the package. rpm
-e
