Q1. If I use the GNU tools to develop my project, do I have to release my application source code?
A1. No, the code created by you using the GNUSH/H8 tools is not subject to the GPL unless you either (i) include some GPL'd code which has some restrictions of itself, or (ii) choose to publish your software under the GPL.

Q2. What licenses am I subject to if I use the KPIT GNU tools?
A2. Please refer to http://www.kpitgnutools.com/licenses.php for this.

Q3. Can I modify library source code for use in my application? What are the implications if I do so?
A3. You are free to modify the library source code use it for your own purpose. You can also choose to contribute your modifications in the form of patches to FSF. Please refer COPYING.NEWLIB in the source or http://sources.redhat.com/newlib/ for all other details.
